A waste-free lunch program is a process of educating ākonga, parents, whānau, and school staff about where our rubbish ends up and how we, as individuals, can reduce the amount of rubbish we generate. Our value - POIPOI, is the focus on NURTURE. This incorporates hauora, environment and social responsibility.

Waste-free lunch programs favour the use of reusable food containers, drink containers, utensils, and napkins. They discourage the use of disposable packaging, such as prepackaged foods, plastic bags, juice boxes and pouches, paper napkins, and disposable utensils.

We choose to be. a waste free school. This means if there is any packaging in your child's lunchbox they will be asked to put the empty packets back in their lunchbox to take home.
