Can my child attend Ahutoetoe School even though we are not in zone?

No. Only students within the governments set zone can attend Ahutoetoe School. Check school zone

Is there a ballot system for out of zone students?

There is no ballot system at this time.

Will there be a school bus?

There is no school bus, but we will be having a Walking School Bus. Further information can be found here

Can I help in my child's class?

Yes. We welcome parent help. Please talk with your child's Kaiako to see how you can assist.

Will there be assemblies that I can come along to?

We have a weekly assembly - Hui. There are opportunities to attend these. Your child's teacher will send you a notice via HERO.

How will I know how my child is progressing academically?

By using the Hero app you receive regular updates about your child's learning, progress, and achievements. Find out about Hero.

You will also be invited to attend a conference with your child and your child's teacher twice a year to discuss your child's progress and goals. This is also an opportunity for your child to share their learning with you.
