November 2022 - We were privileged to attend the Te Arahou MAC Hui a Tau for 2 days. Leaders helping leaders to become great leaders - stretched our thinking and challenged our understanding of what works best for ākonga Māori

Building continues to progress well on the permanent Ahutoetoe site - This picture shows the framing for the admin block and hall.

November 2022...

Blocks and decks have gone down ready for the Ruxton Road school delivery.

2023...

The Ruxton Road Campus has been built! Buildings are on site, playground installed and work starts on landscaping and pathways.

11 classrooms, admin block and Wairau Valley Special School satellite unit.

All of our resources have arrived! Furniture, office supplies, resources and books.

As the contractors continue to finish off the build, cabling, internet, and landscaping, teachers have been busy in their classroms creating amazing learning spaces.

February 2023 -  Our beautiful learners start school!    Poipoi 0/1, Poipoi 2/3 and Hiringa 4-6

March 2023 - Our year 4-6 Hiringa learners lead our Jump Jam each morning out on the courts.

Each Friday we have Wheels day!

We had a great Kelly Sports day over on the green.

Nine senior learners from Ahutoetoe School attended Te Kotahitanga Day held at Dairy Flat School. The purpose is to continue to build on a sense of whanaungatanga (relationships) across the local schools, strengthen these links and enable all students to share and participate with confidence. Our learners were able to participate in several wananga (workshops) including mau rakau (Māori martial art), poi making, mai toi (art), tī rākau (Māori instruments) and waiata (song). It was a fantastic day connecting with other ākonga (learners) and kura (schools).

Term 2 2023 - Junkey Monkeys visists Ahutoetoe School. Leaners get to build, play, innovate and create with 'small and big' parts.

We added some temporary playground markings and the learners loved them!

May, 2023 - The Building progresses!

Inside our administration building and learning block, work is progressing well!

June 2023  - Our first official school photographs!

September 2023 - The building progresses further!

Our beautiful flexible learning spaces are spacious and bright with plenty of break out spaces, glass doors and built in shelving. We also have two full makerspaces on each floor. We can't wait to have our learners in!
