Drop off and Pick up

We encourage walking, biking, or scootering to school, or for some part of your journey. If you need to drop your child to school, or collect by car, we have a wonderful "Hug & Drop" bay at the front of our school, which is a pick up and drop off zone for parents and caregivers to utilise.

This zone is strictly NO PARKING between the hours of 8.30-9.00am and 2.30-3.30pm.  Vehicles can stop to deliver or collect students from school but it is not intended for parking at these times.

From 3.00-3.15pm, we will have staff members assisting  ākonga to their vehicles safely.  During this time, the Hug & Drop becomes two lanes and vehicles should stay in the same lane until they have travelled right through.  This time of day is always very congested and driver patience is appreciated.

If the Hug & Drop is full, please do not stop your vehicle on the road as this will cause congestion right down Maryvale Road. Vehicles can easily circle the loop and try again once the Hug & Drop has cleared.

Here is an example of a Hug & Drop. This is Endeavour School in Hamilton...

Proposed Routes:  Coming soon

Walking school buses are a safe, environmentally friendly,  social way of travelling to and from school.  Students benefit from the exercise a daily walk provides. Having a walking school bus at our school will rely on parent help.

If you would like to volunteer to support one of our routes (or would like to suggest a new route) please email
